NoMissedJob (“NoMissedJob,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a missed-call text-back and booking service operated by Jan Heger as a sole proprietor, based in Camarillo, California. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you interact with our website (nomissedjob.com), our text-messaging service, or a business that uses NoMissedJob.
1. The service
NoMissedJob provides automated missed-call text-back and appointment booking on behalf of local home-service businesses (our “clients”). When you call a business that uses NoMissedJob and your call isn’t answered, we send a text from that business to continue the conversation, gather details about the service you need, and help schedule the job.
2. Information we collect
- When you call a client business: your phone number, the content of the text messages you exchange with the business, and basic call details such as the time of the call.
- Information you provide in the conversation: details you choose to share, such as your name, service address, and the work you need done.
- From business owners (our clients): business name, contact name, email, phone number, and the business details needed to run the service.
- Website visitors: standard technical information such as IP address and browser type, used only to operate and secure the site.
3. How we use information
We use information solely to:
- respond to and service the request you started by calling the business;
- pass your inquiry to the business you contacted so they can schedule and complete the work;
- notify the business owner of new leads;
- operate, maintain, and improve the service; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Text messaging (SMS) terms
- Consent. You consent to receive text messages by calling a business that uses NoMissedJob. If the business can’t answer, it replies by text to the number you called from, continuing the conversation you started. We do not message numbers that have not first contacted a participating business.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your interaction with the business.
- Rates. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you’ll receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or email jan@nomissedjob.com.
5. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- With the business you contacted — so they can respond to and complete your job.
- With service providers who help us operate (for example, our telephony provider and the assistant that helps handle the conversation), who may use it only to provide services to us and are bound by confidentiality.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
We never sell your personal information. As stated above, mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared for third-party marketing.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
8. Your choices & California rights
You may reply STOP to end texts at any time, or contact us to ask what information we hold about you or to request its deletion. California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law; contact us to exercise them.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
